Educational Philosophy
We have a rich and stimulating preschool program based on a philosophy of "Learning Through Play". The focus is on the children's social, emotional and intellectual development, achieved through age-appropriate play and activity.

Parent Participation
Parents of Countryside Preschool have the opportunity to participate in their children's preschool experience helping in the classroom usually once or twice a month. This is a great way to learn from our Early Childhood Educator and to observe our children in a social setting.

Parent Education
Our monthly parent education is outstanding! We bring in pediatricians, child psychologists, speech pathologists, nutritionists, experts in early childhood literacy, numeracy, health... and more.

Location! Location! Location!
The rural beauty of the Mt. Newton Valley surrounds Countryside Preschool. Inside, the school is bright, spacious and well-equipped with age-appropriate toys, supplies and equipment.

Early Friendships
Our children develop early and enduring friendship-relationships, which some of them sustain into high-school and beyond.

Outstanding Support
Concerned about your child's behaviour or development? Our ECE is always available to share insight and understanding of preschool children.

A Community of Families
Countryside Preschool is a great place to connect with other families who value education, community connections and community involvement. We come to rely on one another during our time at the preschool and we continue to support one another long after our children move on to elementary school.

Making a Difference
Research shows that the more involved we are in our children's education, the more successful they will be. Countryside Preschool is a great place to begin that involvement. Children LOVE having their parents in the classroom as parent helpers (and parents love it too).

Play, Possibility, & Potential
Countryside Preschool is a nurturing place for our children to play, explore possibilities and reach their potential. They enter primary school confident, self-reliant and ready for new challenges.
